Курсы МАШАВ. 2004 год

МАШАВ, Центр международного сотрудничества при Министерстве иностранных дел Израиля, создан в 1958 году и действует сегодня в 121 стране в разных регионах мира. МАШАВ ежегодно в Израиле и за рубежом проводит курсы по подготовке специалистов, охватывающие около 10 тысяч человек.
В 2004 году МАШАВ предлагает 57 программ курсов, разработанных для подготовки инструкторов по внедрению новых технологий и руководителей разнообразных программ, высококвалифицированных специалистов в разных областях. Курсы проводятся на пяти языках и относятся к пяти разным сферам:
- сельское хозяйство и связанные с ним области науки;
- образование и развитие местных общин;
- социально-экономическое развитие;
- медицина и общественное здравоохранение;
- вопросы развития сельской местности и городов.
Участники курсов, проводящихся в Израиле под эгидой МАШАВа, имеют право на получение стипендий, которые в некоторых случаях покрывают и транспортные расходы. Все расходы, связанные с пребыванием в Израиле (обучение, проживание, питание, медицинская страховка, экскурсионная программа и т.д.), берет на себя Центр международного сотрудничества Министерства иностранных дел Государства Израиль. Дорога в Израиль и обратно оплачивается участниками курсов.
Многие программы МАШАВа организуются в сотрудничестве с различными агентствами ООН, в том числе с Организацией Объединенных Наций по вопросам образования, науки и культуры (ЮНЕСКО), Программой развития Организации Объединенных Наций (ПРООН), а также с Агентством США по международному развитию (USAID) и с Межамериканским банком развития (IDB).

Master of Public Health

Program of studies:overall objective of the course leading to the degree of Master of Public Health of the Hebrew University is to provide basic knowledge of the theory and practice of public health and community medicine for health workers either currently engaged in this field or wishing to enter it in their future work.
Requirements for admission: applicants must have an academic degree from a recognized university in medicine, dentistry, nursing, an allied health field, or in one of the basic biological or social sciences relevant to health.
Applicants who have only a bachelor's degree may be considered only if the have obtained an overall grade of at least 75% for this degree.
Students are advised to have background training in microbiology, statistics and computing.
Practical experience in a field of public health will be taken into account as well as academic achievement. Applicants must speak and write English fluently.
